The Surprising Food Trend Taking Over New York City

New York City has everything dessert fanatics could ever ask for: cronuts, cookie shots, even birthday-cake truffle balls. And now, it finally has the one thing we never knew we were missing: a bar dedicated solely to cereal. The first of its kind in NYC, Kith Treats has officially opened its doors inside Kith NY, a hip, high-end shoe and clothing store, serving up 24 different types of cereal with five different specialty milks and 25 different toppings to sneakerheads and sweet tooths alike. To match the minimalist Kith aesthetic and style, the cereal is neatly served and packaged in shoe boxes, perfect for eating in or taking it to go.

As for the menu, you can either custom-design the breakfast bowl of your dreams, or order off the carefully curated “specials” menu, which includes delicacies like crushed Oreos with Apple Jacks, Frosted Flakes, and almond milk. If you’re in the mood for something heavier, or are feeling downright adventurous, you can even substitute the milk for — wait for it — ice cream. Seriously, we can't decide what we love most. The chic design, the one-of-a-kind packaging, or the fact that we finally have a version of London's infamous Cereal Killer Cafe in New York City. Either way, our favorite childhood snacks just got a major grown-up upgrade, and we couldn’t be more excited.
